Description
I thought I could post some of the photos I took while I was painting [link] .
Just for those who are interested...
I don't want to go into detail now ( gotta get back to the drawing board
) .
I start with a pencil drawing. I like to exaggerate, reduce and stylize the photo reference during this process.
Then I paint the darkest shadows black and then use an airbrush to soften the hard edges and to create gradients where necessary.
Wherever I'll need fine hard edged lines or detail I'll go in with black and white pencils.
Time for color! I apply the color with my airbush and then spend the rest of the process trying to get rid of that overly soft airbrushed look with opaque acrylics and colored pencils.
I think I sould stop now...I already told you enough of my fancy little secrets!

If ever there was a guy I needed to learn from, it is definitely you, Jonas! Usually, I'm not into processes, but this was really educational. I think I'll have to start looking into getting an airbrush, and acrylics -- but I suppose I should start off simply first
